About

GovCamps (and related events) have been a feature of the international digital government community for years. GovCampConnect will be the first event of its kind on the island of Ireland. We’ve chosen venues halfway between Belfast and Dublin, because stuff that matters is happening in both places and we want people to share their stories.

GovCampConnect is community-centred unconference. Anyone can pitch a session for the session grid (the agenda). You can view examples of GovCamp sessions online.

Who

Previous GovCamps have been attended by a spectrum of people interested in Digital Transformation. From both public and private sectors this has included data scientists, programmers, freelancers and civil servants. Previous topics have included service design, scrum, open data and open source software.

The one thing attendees have in common is their enthusiasm for digital transformation.

How

There is no up-front agenda. The agenda is decided on the day. If you have an idea for a talk, bring it along and add it to the agenda. Attendees vote with their feet and can move between rooms and talks.

The video below will give you an idea of what to expect.
